As the year turns and the world leans into celebration – twinkling lights, overflowing tables, the joyful noise of family and festivity – there is another rhythm quietly calling. A quieter path. The New Year. A Retreat. A deeper question…

For centuries, pilgrims have walked the Camino de Santiago at this time of year, braving winter winds and bare frosty landscapes to seek something more than the season’s abundance. They walk not for gifts or glitter, but for grace – for the hush between heartbeats, for the whisper of the soul beneath the noise of the world.

And I have walked that whisper in Peru – across the vast altiplano, along long train tracks with only llamas and alpaca for company. I’ve tasted how coca leaves and mesquite can make the stars seem to spin. I’ve flown above the extraordinary etched figures and lines of Nasca, their mystery humming through the desert like a forgotten song. I’ve climbed the hills to feel the wisdom held in the monumental stones of Machu Picchu, Cusco, and Arequipa – sacred places where the earth itself speaks in silence.

And here in Bali – long revered as a global sanctuary for spiritual healing, trauma release, and past life integration – the land hums with a frequency that softens the veils between worlds. Many seekers arrive with questions they can’t quite name, and leave with something they didn’t know they’d lost: the feeling self, the playful self, the doing self – three sacred aspects of being that so often go missing in the rush of modern life.

But even the outer Camino, for all its beauty and challenge, is only the beginning…

Cue the refrain – that iconic, windswept whistle from a cowboy film, heralding the arrival of the lone rider. The hero. The one who dares to go deeper. 🌵🏜️🔫

🌟 Part Two: The Inner Camino

Let the late morning sun over the closing year guide your footfalls to the Inner Camino – a soul-map drawn not on parchment, but in stardust and shadow. Along this path, we’ll journey together through sacred terrain:

🌲 The Forest of Tears
Here we pause to feel, to soften, to cradle the tender places. We find the lost inner child, coax her out with laughter and light, and invite her to dance again in joy.

⛰️ The Mountain of Ego
A steep climb where thunder cracks and lightning strikes the hardened Rock of the Masculine. In the storm, the domineering maniac dissolves, revealing the kind and benevolent provider within.

🌀 The Southern Whirlpool
A swirling sea of sorrow and longing. We dive deep to rescue the Sodden Feminine, drenched in loss and despair. With tenderness, we lift her from the depths and place her gently on the Podium of Honour, where she rises – radiant, joyful, and sovereign once more.

🕳️ The Cave of Self-Neglect
A shadowed hollow where the Higher Self lies forgotten, thin and weary. We enter with lanterns of love, nourish this sacred being, and return him to the circle – where his wisdom can once again guide the way.

☀️ The Sunny Dome
Our final destination. A golden sanctuary where all four parts of you – Doing, Feeling, Playful, and Wise – gather in harmony. Here, they dream together, weaving the luminous tapestry of your life’s next chapter.

You may encounter these parts of yourself like quiet refugees, emerging from shadow during your journey. They may appear in dreams, in tears, or in sudden moments of knowing – guiding you to recognise their long-held needs. If that happens, know that I am here. I have already forged the path to their restitution, and I call it The Gift of Harmony™.
