Into the Woods is a collection of songs by Walter, who is my past-life alter ego. I mean, he’s a treasured aspect of myself from my previous lives as a minstrel and sound healing entertainer. Listen here

‘Into the Woods’ is the follow up to ‘And I Was… A Lute Playin Man’, which was about Walter’s lyrical romance with Mary, his healing singer counterpart back then.

Walter’s songs are lyrical, wistful and thoughtful and encompass many feelings. There’s celebration here, with Oh Pious Lark! – about the preparation for a wedding.

Barley Wine is a a song about getting together and drinking barley wine and enjoying the moment, it’s also good for New Year. My Winter’s Song to you is atmospheric and melancholy, about a lover who is away, it’s also about ‘the Winter of love’.

‘Into the Woods’ is an invitation to follow me (and Walter!) with my guitar into the light and shade of life… the different seasons of the year… and also to tread lightly in the places that others fear to tread, to find the gifts and the treasure that lie within the woods – but most of all – lie hidden deeply within ourselves.
